Sergei began his role as President of OPP following the acquisition of OPP’s assets and operations in late 2020. Sergei started his career by joining Cargill’s Steel trading division in 1995. In 2002 Sergei joined steel and mining giant Severstal where he held several executive positions, including the CFO and CEO Severstal NA. In 2014 Sergei founded SNK Ventures with a focus on investments in metals processing, logistics, and financial services.
Mike graduated from Michigan State University in 2004 and began his career in sales with Centex Homes, a national home builder in the Southeast Michigan. Mike transitioned into the manufacturing industry through the carbide and machinery division of MSC Industrial Supply. Mike joined Ohio Pickling & Processing in 2011 as a Sales Representative and is now the Sales Manager.
Kevin started his career with OPP in early 2010. In 2011, Kevin transitioned into a Production Supervisor role overseeing the Pickle line, Shipping, and Receiving departments. In 2013 Kevin became the Production Manager at OPP. In 2015 Kevin took on the Operations Manager role where he has also worked on multiple Capital Improvement Projects, Environmental and Safety compliance, and overall plant efficiencies.
Jason started at OPP September 2011 as an electrical maintenance technician. By the end of 2012 he had reached a position of maintenance supervisor. In 2014 was asked to take the maintenance manager position. His maintenance background and leadership ability began in the military in 2007. By 2010 he had reached a position of an E5 promotable. After an 8-year career in the military he taken up a trade as a crane technician. In 2009 he was asked to do start up crane division in Chicago where he held the position as division manager.
Vice President – Finance
Mike’s role as Vice President – Finance at OPP followed the acquisition of OPP’s assets and operations in late 2020. Mike began his career with KPMG in the eighties, moving to the steel industry with Rouge Steel, Severstal NA, and most recently AK Steel/AK Tube from 2014 to 2020. Mike is excited to rejoin Sergei to practice the craft of finance and contribute to OPP’s management team.
Steve began working in the steel industry in 2007 and joined the OPP team in 2010. Steve spent two years running slitters then transitioned into a production supervisor role overseeing the slitting, pickling line, shipping, receiving, and packaging departments. In 2014 Steve transitioned into production scheduling, quality, and lab tech. In 2017 Steve took over management of the quality lab and day to day plant operations.
Human Resource Manager
Tara began her role as the Human Resource Manager for OPP in November of 2016. Tara started her management career with Brent Ind. Tara served 16 years with this company where she held several management roles beginning with Office Manager. She advanced into an Accounting Manager role working directly for the CFO. Tara later carried the role as HR manager and Accounting manager for several years. In 2014, Tara was promoted to Plant Manager. Tara has a wide range of experience in Human Resources, Accounting, Environmental, Safety, and Logistics.
